5 Generations

Owen, Grandma and I traveled down to Linda's sister's house to introduce Owen to her side of the family. We had been planning this since February but it hadn't worked out until today! There were five generations there (which is pretty impressive!) We were missing Linda's niece, Jess, because she was at the hospital with her newborn baby but she got to take her home today!! We were lucky enough to have Jess's son, Tommy, attend the reunion though! It was a great day!

3 Months

Believe it or not but Owen is now 3 months old!!! I will give you a moment for that to set in.......He doesn't have a doctor's appointment this month so these are at home approximations. He weighs 14 lbs. and is 24 1/2". He looks less like an infant everyday! He has always been a good baby but he is getting much more interactive and fun! He loves to eat his fingers, is constantly making some kind of noise, smiles easily and studies faces. His new favorite noise to make is a gargling sound. He is also getting much stronger. He can now hold his head pretty steadily, grab things, tries to sit up and lifts his head up during tummy time (if he feels like it!) He is still the cutest baby and is really very easy. He is pretty much only fussy when he is tired or hungry, both of which are easy to fix! However, he does hate the car/car seat, which is surprising because I thought all babies loved the car! Oh well! Although he is still not sleeping through the night, I can't complain at all! I am so happy to be Owen's mother and appreciate the blessings God has given me everyday! After having gone through pregnancy, labor and now watching Owen grow, I'm not sure how people can be parents and not believe in God. He is real. He is good. And He loves us! Enjoy these pics...

Some "Firsts"

Owen has had a lot of "firsts" lately! We went to the park and had a picnic today because it was beautiful outside! He laughed this morning...it was adorable! He "sat" in his Bumbo! He attended his first garage sale on Saturday (he loved it....well, he will be forced to love them cuz his mommy loves a great deal!) Wow...my baby has been busy!!

O-W-E-N

We have Owen's name spelled out over his changing table and he has recently discovered them!  As soon as he sees them, he gets a big grin on his face. He talks to them and kicks like crazy ( which makes changing him so much easier!) What's funny is he looks at them out of the corner of his eye like he is charming them or courting them or something! He is smitten and it is adorable!!
