33 Weeks

I know I took a long hiatus from blogging but I promise I will get you caught up! I'm going to start with an easy post and work my way into longer, more thoughtful posts. Here is a comparison of me at 33 weeks with this pregnancy and Owen. (I am currently 34 weeks pregnant...lol!) They are surprisingly similar!

Tyler is another year older (and wiser)

My husband just celebrated his 29th birthday! Sadly we are no longer the same age (we are the same age for about 2 months), but now I can learn from his wisdom :) January will mark our 12th year together! I was lucky enough to marry my best friend. I love him because...
-he makes me laugh every single day and he appreciates my humor too!
-he loves Jesus
-he loves our son and is an amazing father
-he is patient (much more than I am!)
-he is calm, relaxed, laid back (maxin' and relaxin', just chillin', takin' things as they come)
-he is loyal
-he prioritizes family and appreciates his upbringing
-he is a great role model to the boys he coaches
...and there are a million more reasons I could list but I don't really do the mushy stuff well and have reached my quota ;) I love you babe! Happy Birthday Hubby!

Owen is 11 months old!

Owen is now 11 months old which blows my mind! Where has the time gone?? Everyone tells you how fast time flies with children but I don't think you truly understand until you have your own! Owen is such a blessing and brings a smile to our faces everyday! God is good!

At 11 months old Owen can...
-walk
-crawl
-climb up stairs (not down yet)
-wave
-clap
-"snap" (he makes the snapping motion but it doesn't make the snapping sound)
-pray (folds his hands)
-sign...

-say mama and dada (but not necessarily to us specifically yet)

It seems like he literally learns something new everyday! He never ceases to amaze us! We love you big guy!!

First (Professional) Haircut

Yep, that's right, I broke down and decided to pay for a haircut for my 10 month old. His hair grows so fast and I had done as much as I could! Owen did pretty well. He was very interested in what the stylist who was cutting his hair was doing. Luckily, the two receptionists at the salon weren't busy while we were there and did an excellent job of distracting Owen and taking pictures! They were angels! Here are some pictures...they go in order from the start of the haircut to the end so you can see the progression.

Zombie Walker

Owen has started walking! He is actually getting pretty good...he's a quick learner! However, he sometimes looks like a zombie with his arms out or up for balance which can be entertaining. Here is a video of Owen walking....enjoy!
