Fair Fun

Tyler, Owen and I ventured out to the Iowa State Fair in mid-August and had a blast. Going to the fair with your kid makes you see the fair through a different set of eyes. Seeing Owen enjoy the animals, the Big Slide and the tractors was so much fun! The food was still a priority but making sure Owen had a good time was first on the list!

18 months (1 month ago)

Owen is 18 months old!! He is an active little boy! He loves to be outside, he loves to run, play and yell! He is a chatterbox (when he is at home.) He is still a little shy when around strangers or people he doesn't see often, although he will eventually warm up! Owen can say so many words...he is honestly saying a new word everyday! He never ceases to amaze us. He is growing up so fast and so fierce and I can't wait to see how God continues to grow our little man and develop his ever-growing personality. He makes us laugh everyday. He has started talking in silly little voices with silly little faces, and laughs at himself (which I can really appreciate!) Owen is a child that appreciates routine and doesn't like things to be out of place. We have three lamps in our living room and all three must either be on or off otherwise..."Uh oh! Lights!" Oh Owen! We love our sweet little boy and are grateful everyday to be his parents!

Avery is 4 months old!

My sweet little baby girl is 4 months old already! I can't even believe it! She is so sweet and smiley and adorable! She is a chunky little baby who loves to gnaw on her fingers in her free time and sucks her thumb to fall asleep. She is a great sleeper and has been sleeping through the night since about 10 weeks. She is very laid back and loves watching her brother do anything! They are so cute when they interact...it melts my heart!! She is wearing 6 month clothes and especially loves her short shorts and skinny jeans. She has the biggest, bluest eyes (which I hope stay blue!) Her perfect little lips just beg you to kiss her (which I do often!) I love my baby girl and feel so blessed to be her mama!
