Cutie Patootie

I can't believe two weeks have already passed since my last post! Wow...time flies when you have a newborn! Owen is gonna be six weeks old tomorrow...that is unbelievable! Please pray that Owen stays healthy so he can take the flight down to Texas on March 14th to visit Uncle Trav and Aunt Chelsie. The doctor said he wouldn't give his okay to fly if Owen was sick because he won't have received his 2 month vaccinations yet. Owen really wants to be the cutest baby at the wedding! ;) Here are some more cute pics of the most handsome baby in the world!

Owen is Growin'

Owen is 1 month old today! I can't believe it! He had a doctor's appointment yesterday and he weighed 9 lbs. 6 oz.!! He gained over 2 pounds in 2 weeks! Chunky monkey! But what a relief to know he is growing and gaining the weight he should be. Tyler kept saying..."gaining weight, but losing hair." Our little man is balding! I know it is normal but he is looking so different. I will attach some recent pictures so you can see! I feel so lucky everyday to be his mom...God is so good!

Bath Time

Before we had Owen, I was the most freaked out about bath time. I pictured him screaming and crying the whole time while I accidentally got soapy water in his mouth and ears...eek! He did cry the first few times but I think he has grown to really enjoy the baths. They seem to relax him (like they do for most of us!) Tyler and I could still use a little practice and finesse in the bath-giving department. But I will say, we do work really well together and have gotten a little bit of a routine down. Here are a few pictures of our relaxed, naked cutie!

 

So he may have been a little too relaxed because while being dried off and held by Daddy...he pooped! Tyler instantly freaked out because he felt it and it may have leaked through the towel onto Tyler's shirt :) I may have been peed on multiple times but Tyler is the lucky one to be pooped on!

Owen is 2 weeks old!

I can't believe it but Owen is two weeks old today! My little boy is growing up so quickly!! He continues to sleep well, nurse well, and be the cutest, sweetest baby in the world! We feel so blessed everyday to have him in our lives! Here are some more pictures of the cutie patootie!

Sleep Deprivation

So there is an upside to sleep deprivation...Tyler is hilarious! Tyler woke me up the other night asking me to turn on the light because he didn't want to carry Owen from the bed to the pack and play in the dark. I turned the light on and rolled over to see Tyler on his elbows staring at an empty pillow (which he thought was Owen!) He looked over at the pack and play and saw Owen sleeping soundly! He laughed, rolled back into bed and informed me he was dreaming! We both laughed for quite some time!!
