Our little miracle!!



Owen Tyler Frederiksen (finally!!) arrived Sunday, January 20th at 8:27am.  He weighed 7lbs. 7oz. and was 21 inches long.  I know I am biased but he is the best baby...ever! He has been nursing very well (albeit falling asleep at the wheel if you know what I mean!) Each night we've been home from the hospital has gotten better. He had a stretch last night where he went 4 hours in between feedings (which translates to about 3 hours of straight sleep for us.) I had initially thought he would sleep in the nursery from night one, but we set up the pack and play in our room, and I have slept much more soundly because of it! Here are some pictures of the little angel God has blessed us with!!

 

Induction

Baby Fred will be here soon! We have scheduled the induction for Saturday morning at 7:30...ready or not, here he comes!

Merry Christmas!

Tyler and I are blessed to have most of both families in the area but it does make for many Christmases and lots of scheduling! This year we had six Christmases to attend and the furthest we had to drive was to Waukee! Christmas is such a special time of year but we often get distracted by the American culture and our consumerism. God's only Son, Jesus our Savior, was born on Christmas. The Light of the world was a tiny baby in a manger. He was sent by God to give hope to all of those who believe that baby would grow up and die for all of our sins, once for all! Jesus gives us hope and peace and that is the ultimate gift! Here are a few pictures from some of our Christmases!
